Eligibility Criteria

  • Class 1: Child must be 6 years old as of March 31, 2025 (children born on April 1 are also eligible).
  • Balvatika (1, 2, 3): Children aged 3–4 years for Balvatika 1, and as per KVS norms for Balvatika 2 and 3.
  • Classes 2–8: Admissions are subject to vacancy and priority category, with no admission test.
  • Class 9: Requires an admission test covering Maths, Hindi, English, Science, and Social Science (3 hours, 100 marks; minimum 33% for general, 25% for reserved categories).
  • Class 11: Based on Class

Admission Process

Class 1 and Balvatika:

Online Application: Register on the KVS admission portal (https://kvsangathan.nic.in or https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in) from March 7, 2025, to March 21, 2025 (10:00 PM).

  1. Visit the KVS admission portal and click “New Registration.”
  2. Enter child’s details (name, date of birth, parent’s details, email, mobile).
  3. Log in with registered email and password.
  4. Fill in personal information, select KV Sundargarh as a preferred school, and upload documents.
  5. Submit the form to receive a unique application submission code (keep it safe for reference).

Classes 2–10:

  • Offline Application: Register at KV Sundargarh from April 2, 2025, to April 11, 2025 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM), if vacancies exist.
  • Submit the application form to the Principal’s office.
  • Selection via offline lottery based on priority categories, no test required (except Class 9).

Class 11:

  • Application forms issued after Class 10 CBSE results (tentatively May 2025).
  • Submit within 10 days of result declaration; admission list displayed within 20 days.
  • Non-KV students admitted subject to vacancy after KV students. Last date: 30 days post-Class 10 results.

Required Documents

  • Birth certificate (for age proof).
  • Proof of residence.
  • Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL, if applicable).
  • EWS/BPL certificate (if applicable).
  • Disability certificate (if applicable).
  • Service certificate for Central Government employees or proof of transfers.
  • Recent passport-size photograph of the child.
